Advancements in technology have taken the practice of law to a whole new level. “Cloud computing” has given the lawyer 24/7 access to his law office, from anywhere. And software programs that are freely available, have given all of us, lawyers and the public at large, the ability to communicate ourselves to the world.
All this technology gives me the resources that used to be available only to the very large firms and at great expense. The information explosion has made it easier to find people, to skip trace them. Anyone can now be “published” via a website, blog, etc. and thusly, be found.
The internet is the ultimate library at your fingertips and limited only by the imagination. Pretty amazing.
So whats all that have to do with the law and the Law Office of Alexander Socia, P.A.? Well, I was once a professional computer guy. I now use that life experience in my law practice. I have merged the two; law and computers. Its a good mix for collecting debts and practing law in general.
The bulk of my practice is concentrated on creditor rights, commercial debt collection and IRS tax resolution. I collect money for companies with delinquent accounts and aged receivables and represent clients before the IRS. I like doing this kind of work. Both of them involve some form of debt and debt resolution.
Practicing the law provides lots of challenges. Its like practicing Aikido, you have to be aware all the time. And there are many excellent opponents that will test your abilities.
Advocating for your client’s rights doesn’t mean losing your civility. Being a zealous advocate doesn’t mean being heartless. Zealous advocacy means aggressively defending and protecting your client’s rights. Or in my practice, recovering or protecting your money and assets.
Besides collection and IRS tax law, on a case by case basis, I also help clients with other areas of law and have made a personal commitment to advocating for Pro Life issues. Respect Life. Its a gift from God.
